Haukur Karlsson is an Icelandic composer and music producer based in London. He started playing in bands at the age of 12, mainly as a drummer or a guitarist and gradually started writing and producing his own music. From 2018 - 2021 he studied Music Production at the highly exclusive Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, focusing mostly on producing pop and indie music and worked on many songs with multiple artists, resulting in millions of streams across all streaming services. His passion for film music has always been a driving force and in 2021 he gained admission to the master’s program in composition for screen and was awarded a scholarship at the Royal College of Music in London - the no. 1 college in the world for performing arts.

“I love melodies and I love combining orchestral music with pop! Coming from Iceland, I’m also very inspired by the amazing people that paved the way for us, such as Jóhann Jóhannsson, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Atli Örvarsson and Ólafur Arnalds. Their music has influenced me a lot”.

Having worked with directors all over the world, Haukur has also gained working experience under the award winning composer Atli Örvarsson and has been trained by many other award winning composers at the Royal College. He’s also been involved in projects such as How it Ends, FBI: International, Ploey and the award winning video game: God of War: Ragnarök.
